You don't have to be a messy housekeeper to encounter bed bugs. Bed Bug infestations are on the rise all over the country! These critters are easily "picked up" from a variety of locations such as; foreign and domestic airline travel (seats, carpeting and luggage cargo holds), mass transportation such as buses and trains, at hotels/motels and other similar places. If you find you are fighting this irritating biting insect in your home, here are 3 easy steps to safely and completely eradicate these critters from between your sheets!
1.Place all bedding in a sink, basin or washing machine to soak in warm water and 3 ounces of enzyme cleaner (such as SporiCLEAN) for 2 hours. Gently agitate and mix the bedding around every 30 minutes or so.
2.Thoroughly spray the mattress, box-springs, bed frames, pillows, and surrounding furniture - underneath and behind. Be extra sure that you spray all carpeting and carpets (especially where the carpeting meets the wall) and spray all cracks and crevices in baseboards, with a solution of 4 ounces of enzyme cleaner (such as SporiCLEAN) into 1-gallon of warm water. Pour this mixture into a hand-pump garden type sprayer and spray the above locations as described. Simply allow it to air dry.
3.Wash all clothing and bedding completely in your washing machine and add 1-ounce of enzyme cleaner (such as SporiCLEAN) to the wash water. NOTE: Please do not add any chemical laundry detergents to the wash load - it is not necessary as the enzymes contain all the cleaning and deodorizing power you will need.
Things You'll Need: * Spray bottle * Washing Machine * Warm Water * 1 quart Enzyme Cleaner (such as SporiCLEAN to make 8 gallons of solution - enough to spray up to 1,000 sq. ft.)
